Cutting work for railway bridges

March 2012 – The old railway bridge over N208 Western Ring Road in Haarlem has been replaced. The new steel railway bridges on the Haarlem - Leiden line are 42 metres long, weighing in at 93 tons each. De Boer Snijbedrijf cut various parts of these bridges to size. The Koike plasma cutting machine was used to cut 130 tons of S355 J2+N sheet steel with 3.2 certification to size and to shape welding edges. The parts were ultrasound-tested after cutting.
