Sailing yacht

De Boer Snijbedrijf has cut a range of components to size for a 44 metre yacht. The components were welded together to form the bulb frame, which provides the yacht with balance. The bulb frame is suspended in a mould and covered with lead. Then it is bolted to the keel fin , safeguarding the stability of the yacht. When the yacht enters a harbour, retracting its keel reduces its draught considerably. When it leaves, the keel is lowered again
