De Boer Snijbedrijf has cut to size and blasted 60 tons of steel varying in thickness from 5 to 130 mm for the dredge head of a hopper dredger. The company also made the weld bevels for the dredge head, which is the largest ever made: it is approximately 8 metres long and 8 metres wide, and it weighs in at 54 tons. The monster was made for the trailing suction hopper dredger "Volvox Terranova".
